Once you've got a winning print, there's then the consideration of how you make that print more saleable to potential customers.

A simple strut mount can turn a loose print into a premium feel product, and Photovalue is one such supplier. It flags up its new matt black Sapphire Event Mount as being especially popular.

"We distinguish ourselves from the competition by giving the photographer the opportunity to promote their business," explains Photovalue's Sales & Marketing Director Ronan Ryle. "We do this by offering the ability to block print their logo or contact details on to the mounts for free."

Ronan adds that it does not impose a minimum order for this service, which is available across Photovalue's full range of folders and strut mounts. Furthermore, it offers to make every photographer a free block of their details, a process usually costing £40.

Photovalue's mounts, which it manufactures and supplies itself, are available in a wide range of sizes and colours. Currently there is a special offer on its 9x6 'SP' mount that has an overall size of 12x10 inches and therefore cleverly has a higher perceived value.
