Mitsubishi

A brand consistently mentioned by those surveyed is Mitsubishi. Perhaps not surprising, as its Click Systems have been specifically designed for the events market.

Designed as an all-in-one digital micro-lab, Mitsubishi's Click Systems consist of a digital processing unit with 17-inch touch screen and a high-speed dye sublimation printer. Images can be loaded into the system from all regular media cards, CDs or DVD. Photos can be downloaded via USB cable or sent wirelessly using additional Wi-Fi hardware. Images can be viewed, reworked, and printed within seconds.

Mitsubishi's on-board software guides the operator through the workflow process from media insertion to the final print. All editing features on the Click system - such as colour balance, saturation & histogram control - are, as you'd expect, largely a one-click process, performed via the touch screen.

Options include Mitsubishi's Click Lite, which comes with the CP-D70DW-S dye sublimation machine offering 4x6 inches up to 6x9 inches. High capacity paper and ink rolls offer up to 400 prints, while it also features a unique roll type mechanism for jam free reliability. In addition an extra Mitsubishi printer can be connected to the Click Lite system for multiformat printing, including the CP-D70DW-S CP-D707DW-S and CP3800DW which offer 8x10 and 8x12.

Alternatively the IT5000 is Mitsubishi's most advanced event photography system, available with either the CP-D70DW-S or CP-D707DW-S. Both versions incorporate full editing options. An additional five printers, including an extra CP-D70DW-S and CP-D707DW-S or the CP3800DW, can be connected for high volume printing - while a carousel display function allows a second screen to be attached.

Prices start at £2,698 for the Click Lite with CP-D70DW.
