Daymen & Rogue
If you're thinking of utilising those portrait skills and are visualising events as black-tie balls and corporate functions, then a set-up that provides more of a studio type look will naturally provide much more saleable results.
With this in mind distributor Daymen flags up some flexible lighting solutions, which it says are light and easy to carry whilst also not being too expensive a way of adding additional revenue to your business.
Designed for use with speedlight flash, Rogue FlashBender reflectors can be shaped into a variety of positions. The patented design incorporates three rods that allow the reflectors to be positioned just so, and held in place as a reflector, flag or snoot. Large size is £30.99 for 10x11 inches, while small is 10x7 inches and costs £25.99.
Another option is the Rogue
FlashBender Bounce Card. This is either used to bounce light onto a subject, or as a flag (using either the built-in white surface, or included black fabric attachment) to shield light from it. For £23.99 the patented design also incorporates a rod allowing the Bounce Card to be bent into position and held in place.
Third recommended option is the Rogue 3-in-1 Honeycomb Grid.
This creates a spot of light with a gradual fall off, so useful for adding dimension and depth to an image or highlighting important features. Priced around £45 it is designed to work alone or with the aforementioned reflectors.
