SGS Studios is a premium, family-run photography studio specialising in professional school and portrait photography. Founded in June 2006 by directors Stephen and Aliza, the studio began with a vision to bring true studio-quality portraiture to high-volume school environments in the digital age.

Based in Canterbury, Kent, with a European studio in Lausanne, Switzerland, SGS Studios serves schools, businesses, and families across Kent, Greater London, the South East of England, Switzerland, and Italy. With over 20 years of experience and more than 100 schools served, the team delivers natural, emotive, high-impact images that consistently exceed expectations.

Stephen and Aliza remain actively involved in every project — from staffing and training to account management — ensuring personal oversight and consistent quality. The studio specialises in efficient high-volume portraiture (under two minutes per student), class and group photography, yearbook and leavers images, artistic composites, school events and theatre coverage, ID cards, and corporate headshots. All services are free to schools, with parents ordering via secure private online galleries. Every image is hand-retouched and printed to the highest standards by leading UK professional labs.
