Hi, I'm Dovile 👋, a photographer based in Romford, Essex, England, available for photography services across the surrounding areas.

I’m Dovile, a photographer whose journey into creativity has taken many unexpected turns and beautiful discoveries.

Art has been part of my life since childhood. At the age of four, I began playing the piano thanks to my mother, whose beautiful singing voice and love of music filled our home. From the age of nine, I attended music school, eventually graduating with a specialisation in choral singing before going on to study opera singing.

Music taught me to truly listen – to silence, emotion and subtle details. Perhaps that is why, in photography, I feel that I can almost “hear” light and emotions.

After school, I chose a very different path and studied medicine. I worked in a hospital in Lithuania until 2015, before moving to London, UK with my future husband and continuing my career in a clinic. Working with people and witnessing their emotions, experiences and vulnerability brought me closer to understanding the human stories that now inspire my photography.

In 2017, I got married, and my own wedding became a turning point. I was deeply inspired by the work of photographer and artist Viktorija Vaišvilaite, which awakened my desire to create, see beauty and preserve meaningful moments. I realised that photography was where I wanted to be.

When I told my mother I was leaving medicine to pursue photography, she simply smiled and said, “You’ve always been photographing everyone.” She also called me “the archive of our family”. She was right – I have always wanted to preserve the moments and people that matter to me.

Photography as a Passion

Today, my two little sons are my constant photo heroes. While the youngest doesn’t always enjoy posing, his older brother is a wonderfully patient model. They remind me that photography is life itself – full of real moments, imperfections, sincerity and love.

For me, photography is almost a form of therapy. When I’m photographing, I can lose track of time and become completely immersed in light, emotion and the moment in front of me.

Women's Portrait Photography

My greatest passion is portrait photography for women. For me, it is about far more than simply capturing someone's appearance. It is a journey into the inner world of each person – their authenticity, strength, vulnerability and gentleness.

When I photograph someone, I want not only to see them but to feel who they are. I believe that every person is beautiful in their own way, shaped by their experiences, their story and their unique light.

My photography is about discovering that beauty, connecting with it and gently bringing it to the surface.
